Graduate Outcomes Survey

The Graduate Outcomes survey is a statutory, national survey managed by the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA). It captures information on what graduates are doing 15 months after their course has ended.

All graduates who completed an undergraduate or postgraduate course will be invited via email to complete the survey online roughly 15 months after they graduated. If they don't complete it online, they will be contacted via telephone by a survey contractor, working on behalf of HESA and their university.

It is very important that we keep up-to-date contact details for you. Please ensure you have updated these via University College Birmingham’s student portal.

The HESA and the third-party survey contractor who administers the survey will ensure that no individual graduate can be identified. HESA also shares the anonymised data with other Government organisations in order to carry out its statutory functions connected with funding higher education.

Information is not used in a way that could affect graduates personally. For example, the information is used to feed the Unistats website, where future students can compare courses based on various measures such as employment or satisfaction. Your responses will not only help current, and future students gain valuable insight into career destinations, but they will also help us to evaluate our courses and ensure that they are up-to-date and still meet the requirements of future employers.

Please look out for your email about 15 months after you graduate. Your response to the survey will be very much appreciated.

Don’t forget, as a University College Birmingham graduate, you can still access Hired for career support and guidance.
