If you are interested in applying and taking part in an event like this, simply click on the following application form.

College interview evening schedule

4:45 pm - 5:00 pm: You are invited to a welcome presentation from our Admissions and Marketing team. This will be delivered online and you will be emailed the link to access this presentation one day before your interview event.

5:00 pm - 5:30 pm: If your parent(s) or guardian(s) wish to ask us any questions about our admissions process at University College Birmingham, we will remain online for them to speak to our Admissions and Marketing staff about the course you have chosen at University College Birmingham.

5:00 pm - 7:00 pm: The teaching team for your chosen course will call you between these times. Please ensure you have your phone switched on during this time so you don't miss their call. As some of our teaching team will be working from home, the call may come from a blocked number. Our teaching team will be there to ensure that you have selected the course that best suits your career ambitions and academic potential.

6:30 pm - 7:00 pm: If you have not received a phone call by 6:30 pm, please contact us using our live chat platform and our Admissions team will get in contact with the teaching team to clarify if there have been any issues when trying to call you.

While you wait…

During this evening’s event, you have the opportunity to ask any questions via our live chat. One of our current college students, as well as our admissions staff, will be on hand to help. They will be able to answer all of your questions about what it's like to be a UCB student, as well as the admissions process, so please get in touch with us whilst you wait for your call from the teaching team.

You may also wish to book onto our next online open day.

What happens after my call?

If your interview is successful

If you are successful in your interview, the teaching team will issue you with a Conditional offer and you will receive a congratulations email confirming that you have been successful.

Our Admissions team will follow up your congratulations email with an official offer letter outlining the conditions you are required to meet to enter your course with us.

If you have already finished your GCSE studies and you are furthering your College education, please email us images of the qualification you hold to

If your interview is unsuccessful

The next day you will receive confirmation from us about your interview assessment. Our admissions team will look at the course portfolio that we have on offer to see if there is a different course that would be more suitable. We will also offer information, advice and guidance if we do not have a course that is right for you.

There are occasions where applicants may be overqualified for a college course and in this instance, we may look to offer a higher education course as an alternative.
