Success for UCB's Jack Gameson at the Young Chef Olympiad

UCB is delighted to announce student Jack Gameson has been successful at the prestigious Young Chef Olympiad in India.

The 21-year-old, who was representing the UK, competed against nine other young chefs in the hotly contested final.

Although he narrowly missed out on the top prize, Jack was given the award for best dessert.

Jack said: “Being given the opportunity to compete in the Young Chef Olympiad has been a truly amazing experience and has taught me so much both in and out of the kitchen. Finishing in the top five and getting best dessert was a really proud moment I will treasure. Thank you to everybody at UCB for all of the support and guidance throughout this competition.”  

The competition attracted 60 competitors from across the world and the judging panel included industry leaders.
