Danielle's Dior success

Read time: approx 1 mins

A UCB student has a bright future ahead of her now she has secured a job at Christian Dior.

Level 2 Beauty Therapy student Danielle Donovan applied for the position of Beauty Consultant and Colour Specialist at the well-known luxury goods company after encouragement from her tutor, Claire Mitchell.

Out of the 200 applicants that applied for this coveted position, Danielle found herself to be one of the candidates shortlisted for the next stage. She was invited to an assessment centre where she had to do a full make-over on a Dior staff member. This was then followed by a group challenge and finished up with an individual interview.

After a very thorough interview, only two talented individuals were selected for the roles: one of them being Danielle.

“I’d like to thank Claire for the help and encouragement she gave me to apply for the position,” said Danielle. “I feel that the skills I have gained at UCB will really help me in my future career.”

Claire Mitchell, Beauty Therapy lecturer at UCB, said: “Danielle is a very committed and conscientious student with a lovely, friendly manner. She will do very well at Dior – it is a fantastic opportunity for her.”

Danielle will start her new role next month, which will involve advising on make-up and skincare, selling products and giving makeovers to Dior clients.
