University College Birmingham are offering 'Have a Go' taster days aimed at groups of year 10 and 11 students
Each session gives your students a flavour of life at University College Birmingham and the opportunity to find out more about our vocational college courses through practical sessions with our expert team of staff. The taster days will take place on set dates throughout the year from November to June on-campus. There is no booking fee for these activities. Where possible, we can arrange for the taster sessions to be delivered at your school if this is preferred, please state this when completing the enquiry form.
Bespoke events may be possible for schools and colleges from November - June, at times that suit you, dependent on academic availability. Please complete our enquiry form here to enquire further.
Have a Go: Bakery
Show your students how University College Birmingham can help launch their hospitality career with our bakery taster day. From bread, cakes and cookies, get an overview of our bakery course that will really tantalise the tastebuds.

Due to limited availability and high demand for our Have a Go's, we understand it can be difficult to get these sessions. You can either direct individual students to our Saturday Academies offer, or why not bring students along to a Campus Experience Day instead?
Have a Go: Sport
A sport taster day is the perfect way for students to find out how our sport college courses can be a steppingstone towards a rewarding career in sport and nutrition. Meet members of the teaching team and see demonstrations of various clinical and exercise skills. They will take part in activities that they can expect to do on our sport college courses, including using our sport and gym facilities.

Have a Go: Education and Childcare
Our early childhood experiences shape who we are and maybe your students want to part of those experiences for others. Students can explore what studying Early Years is like with us, using our Simulation Suite and get an understanding early childhood development to see if the rewarding career within the education sector is for them.

Groups up to 20 per school
Have a Go: Business
Your students got an entrepreneurial streak? Why not bring them to our Business Have a Go where they can use their creativity and get their big ideas onto paper by getting involved in creating a business pitch, speaking to our business tutors and being shown exciting facilities like our Financial Trading Suite!

Groups of up to 15 per school
Have a Go: Travel and Tourism
Do your students love travel, events or hospitality? With these careers. the sky really is the limit! From cabin crew, tour operators or hotels around the world, we will tour careers available from our courses, having fun, practical sessions in our mock plane and airport in our Aviation Suite.

If there are other subjects you'd like to see, from our Computing courses, Engineering and Construction or even Hair and Beauty, please do just ask! We are limited to rooms and our lecturer availability so we may not always be able to assist with the request but we will always try our best!

Can't attend an on-campus event?
If you can't attend one of our taster sessions on campus, we may be able to organise for our staff to come to your school or college. Subject to staff availability, we may be able to offer a bespoke taster session at your school.
