Richard Maurice

Senior Lecturer

"With over two decades of professional experience across diverse healthcare environments, I have witnessed firsthand the significant impact that allied healthcare practitioners can have on enhancing patient care. Collaborating closely with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists and nursing staff has provided me with a varied background.

I am proud to be the course leader for the new Assistant Practitioner Foundation Degree. This program enables students to evolve into proficient practitioners. The comprehensive curriculum integrates practical experiences through placement opportunities, bridging the gap between academic knowledge and real-world application. By sharing my own experiences during teaching sessions, I aim to contextualise learning and inspire students to make connections between theory and practice."
