Team work pays off for front of house students

UCB’s front of house students are on a winning streak after picking up another clutch of awards. 

The team competed at the North Warwickshire and Hinckley College Salon Culinaire and came away with a variety of awards. 

Food Service Lecturer Andrew Bisconti said: “The students spent weeks in the build-up to the competition practicing in their spare time and visiting industry. In true UCB style, everyone worked really well to support each other on the day and the camaraderie ensured the College stood out as a strong team. Well done to all.”

Cocktail & Coffee – Aleks Lokai (Level 3) GOLD & BEST IN CLASS, Georgia Wheatley (Level 2) SILVER

Themed Table Setting – Beth Meehan (Level 3) Certificate of Merit

Drinks Service Challenge – Brett McSkimming (Level 2) Certificate of Merit

Flambé Dessert – Jack Lawley (Level 3) BRONZE, Ryan Dean-Avrill (Level 2) SILVER

Main Course Flambé – Jack Lawley (Level 3) BRONZE
