Statement on A-level, BTEC and GCSE results

Read time: approx 1 mins

We welcome the decision by Ofqual and the Department for Education to remove the cap on the number of university places available, and to award A-level and GCSE students their Centre Assessed Grades. This allows the University to apply greater flexibility and support students at this very stressful time.

We hope that the use of Centre Assessed Grades will also be extended where relevant to students who have studied for BTEC and other vocational qualifications. In the meantime, we encourage students holding those qualifications to contact us to discuss their options; we will be as flexible as possible. We are proud to be able to support students with a wide range of qualifications to achieve their ambitions, whatever their starting point.

While we are receiving a high volume of calls, our Admissions team are available to provide advice and guidance and welcome enquiries from students looking to secure a place at university or college this September. Our Admissions hotline number is 0121 604 1000 or email admissions@ucb.ac.uk

Courses available in clearing are listed on our website.

Don’t worry if you haven’t applied through UCAS, you can also apply direct and we will register your application with UCAS.
