hired@UCB held its annual recruitment fair in McIntyre House so students could talk to a range of employers about their future careers, part-time work opportunities, placements and internships.

Over 30 employers attended the event including Legal & General, BaxterStorey, Hilton Hotels, Birmingham City Council, Graduate Advantage, Q hotels, Target jobs, Unitemps and USA Summer Camp.

The Recruitment Fair also had presentations from Kings Foundation, which provides sports management and coaching opportunities for young children, and Enterprise Rent a Car, who were looking for graduates interested in their training and recruitment scheme.

Hazel Foggin, Employability Co-ordinator at UCB, said: “We always offer a comprehensive range of opportunities, services and events to enable our students and graduates to meet local, national and international employers. This year’s fair was yet another success, with many students taking advantage of the opportunity to network with recruiters and organisations to get a deeper understanding of the careers available in their industry.

“Our team of qualified careers advisors have specialist industry knowledge to help students identify their career goals and gain employability skills during their time at the University.”
