Enterprising students at UCB have been given a boost thanks to a generous donation from…Enterprise Rent-A-Car.
The vehicle hire specialist’s Enterprise Holdings Foundation awarded the grant to the University for projects aimed at enhancing the entrepreneurial skills of students.
The money will be used by hired@UCB, the University’s careers and employability service, to encourage and nurture entrepreneurial development and enterprise.
Julie Speed, talent acquisition specialist for Enterprise Rent-A-Car in the West Midlands, presented a giant cheque to Employability Tutor Helen Hook and Hazel Foggin, Employability Manager (Careers).
Also in attendance was Digital Marketing undergraduate Stevie-Leigh Longmore, who will be part of a UCB team competing in the FLUX student business challenge at Lancaster University in January.
"We are very grateful to Enterprise Rent-A-Car for its generous gift, which will allow students to take part in specific projects and competitions aimed at developing the key skills that will give them a head-start in industry."
