Zoe is finalist in the Apprenticeship Awards

Read time: approx 1 mins

Trainee pastry chef Zoe Turnecliff is a finalist for the Hospitality Advance Apprentice of the Year award.
Zoe began her apprenticeship at the Hyatt Regency Birmingham in 2013 and works in the pastry kitchen.

Her team is responsible for producing a wide selection of desserts, pastries, cakes and cookies for functions, afternoon teas and other dining experiences. Ability, hard work and passion are prerequisites for the job.

My confidence has grown since I started my apprenticeship at the Hyatt. I have learned so many new skills and recipes and I love applying them to the hotel’s menu in order to create new desserts.

The Apprenticeship Awards recognise apprentices from the hospitality, passenger transport, retail and travel industries who have achieved excellent performance through their apprenticeship programme and have exceeded their employer’s expectations.

The UCB apprenticeship team is incredibly proud of the progress Zoe has made at the Hyatt and her achievements. To get this far is amazing and we wish her all the best for the apprenticeship final next month.

All finalists are invited to attend the Apprenticeship Awards ceremony at the House of Commons on February 26.
