Three talented beauty therapist students were invited on a week’s placement at a luxury spa after impressing bosses with their industry skills.

The trio of Level 3 students successfully passed a trade test to get the chance to gain invaluable experience at Ragdale Hall in Leicestershire.

Neeka Gordon, 20, Eme Agard, 22, and Vaida Sarkaite, 24, had to demonstrate their skills at facials and nail painting before being accepted for the placement at the prestigious spa.

Neeka, who wants to work on cruise ships, said: “It was really useful to see what it is like working in the spa industry. Spas have high standards and there are more work opportunities than at salons.”

The students were trained in Elemis products, learned about administrative duties and were given an insight into holistic treatments. “You get to see how you can develop your qualification into a career,” added Neeka.

Kirsty Tudor, Level 3 beauty therapy year manager, said: “It is great for our students to get experience at a feature spa such as Ragdale Hall. It gives the students the best experience of what it is like to work in the industry.”
