The French Ambassador visits UCB

The French Ambassador to the UK, Mr Bernard Emié, met UCB food service students during an official visit to Birmingham. 

Mr Emié joined the Lord and Lady Mayoress of Birmingham for lunch in the Atrium restaurant and took time out to meet students and tour the University’s catering facilities. 

The lunch was also attended by Neil Rami, chief executive of Marketing Birmingham, Prof Ray Linforth, Principal and Vice Chancellor of UCB, and Adam Bennett, the UK representative in the Bocuse D’Or culinary competition, which is held in Lyon, France. 

Bennett will again use the Bocuse D’Or kitchen at UCB as he trains for the competition. UCB and the British Culinary Federation share a long-standing association with Lyon through Les Toques Blanches Lyonnaise.
