The blogosphere needs you! UCB is recruiting for a top team of bloggers

Read time: approx 1 mins

The University is launching a search to find a team of enthusiastic bloggers to inspire potential students – and help them settle in once they have joined UCB.

We are looking for engaging, fun writers who are passionate about the University and can tell others about the life-changing experiences they can expect to enjoy here.

Through social media, the new team of UCBloggers will be tasked with connecting with, and inspiring, potential students, and showing them the exciting journey they could embark on if they choose to study at UCB.

We want our bloggers to help new students settle in by providing them with useful tips and advice. It is a responsible job as the bloggers will play an important role in helping new joiners navigate their way around life at the University.

The bloggers will need to commit to the project for a year and will be required to blog weekly, using text, photographs and maybe videos. We want our team of UCBloggers to provide informative, original content – the more creative, the better.

In return, we will pay our bloggers £6.53 per hour and will help to promote the blogs. It is a great opportunity to improve your CV and get involved with another aspect of university life.

We want to hear from students who are excited by their course and student life – and are passionate about sharing experiences through digital media.

We will ask potential recruits to write a short blog, on a topic of their choice, so we can find the right people. Once appointed, we will give our bloggers all the help they need to get up and running.

We hope to appoint six bloggers in total, with at least one blogger from our post-school/further education community – so don’t be put off whatever your age. We want a real variety of experiences and outlooks that best reflects UCB.

To apply for one of the posts – and for more information or an informal discussion – please contact Paula Smith in Marketing, on ext 2239 or email p.smith@ucb.ac.uk

Please register your interest by Thursday 15th May.
