Students to benefit from UCB recruitment agency award

A recruitment agency based at UCB has been named as one of the most improved in the country after it announced a massive increase in turnover.

UCB Unitemps, which specialises in filling temporary job vacancies and student jobs took on two new members of staff to deal with the extra work and is now looking at further growth over the next 12 months.

The franchise has branches across the country, from Manchester to Middlesex, and UCB employability manager Sara Chan said the runner-up award for the most improved site was great news for students.

“We have seen UCB Unitemps grow from strength to strength,” she said. “Last year, we supported more students and added more opportunities, along with showing a 50 per cent increase in turnover.

“Our focus remains on the great opportunities that this brings our students.”

A national Unitemps spokesman praised the branch for its significant improvements: “They have increased their staff numbers by one full-time and one part-time and continue to work well with their wider employability team and their focus on external business and employers is evident.
