Students take part in BBC Two show

Read time: approx 1 mins

It is an exciting time as currently UCB is featuring on the BBC Two series The Chef¹s Protege with a group of our Culinary Arts Management and VRQ Professional Chef Diploma students being mentored by the famous Michelin starred chef Michel Roux Jr.

Filmed in UCB¹s training kitchens, Michel Roux Jr came to meet and put the students to the test, mentor and inspire, to ultimately select one to take through to a final cook off.

He has watched them cook and equally they have had the amazing opportunity of watching him prepare dishes reflecting his classical French style.

Renowned chefs, Tom Kitchin and Theo Randall also feature in the series and returned to their catering colleges to select their Proteges who will ultimately compete with Michel¹s protege from UCB in the final next week.

Well done to all of our students who took part and keep watching to see who goes through the next stage.

The Chef¹s Protege Monday - Friday, 6.30pm on BBC Two. For more information, see http://www.bbc.co.uk/thechefsprotege
