Seventy French Postgraduate students at UCB

Read time: approx 1 mins

Seventy French postgraduate students from Paris are currently at University College Birmingham (UCB) on a three week residential study visit.

Travelling from Université Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée, the students are focussing on managing and leadership across cultures, digital technology and building ‘smart cities’, creative design and project management and improving their professional English and business communication skills.

In addition to developing their professional skills, the students will be designing a mobile App and cycling trail for Birmingham, attending the Cycle City conference, visiting local social enterprises and hosting a conference featuring a live video link back to fellow students in Paris.

Every year it is a pleasure for us to welcome students from Paris to Birmingham. They particularly enjoy the industry projects as it gives them a practical opportunity to demonstrate their skills and creative ideas and for us we can showcase the University and the city.

Paul Matthews, Senior Curriculum Leader in Enterprise & Innovation, University College Birmingham
