Introducing the new team of UCBloggers

Read time: approx 1 mins

The university has a new team of student bloggers starting today and they are ready to share their UCB study experience with the world.

Our bloggers give the inside scoop on what it’s like to be a student, what they learn on their courses, what it’s like studying in Birmingham, their passions, their future careers and share top tips on how to make the most out of the student lifestyle.

Here is a little bit about our fantastic four:

Helena

Helena is studying for her third year in BSc Food and Consumer Management and loves reading recipe books and magazines, drinking tea and enjoying a cupcake or two. She enjoys how UCB has its own sense of community and the vibrancy of the city surrounding it. In her first blog, she provides a checklist for new students moving into accommodation and what to expect when living in university halls.

Lucy

Our resident make-up artist Lucy is in her first year of the FdA Specialist Hair and Media Make-up degree. She has a real passion for make-up, loves meeting new people and can’t resist watching Keeping up with the Kardashians. Her first blog is all about the clearing process, and she interviews her sister for a first-hand insight into what to do and how to find your perfect course.

Debby

With a penchant for water sports, Game of Thrones and mint chocolate ice-cream, Debby is our travel guru. She is in her second year of FdA International Tourism Business Management and is studying other languages at UCB alongside her studies. Her first post is about how she found the courage to pursue her ideal career – and she urges readers to do the same.

Nethan

The veteran UCBlogger, Nethan is in his third year of study on BA Business Enterprise and enjoys keeping fit, listening to music and digital technology. For him, they best things about studying at UCB are the support network, the flexible learning and the diversity of the students. In this week’s blog, he reintroduces himself to new readers with a stylised ‘self-interview’.

Feel free to leave comments on their blogs and join in the conversation – the UCBloggers are happy to hear from you and answer any questions you may have.

The blogs are updated on a weekly basis, so make sure you never miss a post by following @UCBloggers.
