Childcare student lands £500 prize for flawless attendance

Emily Kenyon, a Level 3 Childcare and Education Student, has won a £500 prize draw rewarding students with outstanding attendance at UCB.

The University has two awards honouring exceptional attendance, with the first offering all FE students with a full record for one term the chance to win a jackpot of £100. However, only those who have a staggering 100% for the full year are eligible to for the top prize of £500.

Emily was handed the bumper cheque by her tutor Susannah Collins, who has praised the student as every bit the worthy winner:

“Emily is an exceptional young lady whose unassuming nature has made her a pleasure for the whole team to teach,” said Susannah. 

“She has maintained incredibly high standards of punctuality and attendance throughout her degree which has no doubt contributed significantly to her achievement of an A* grade in her diploma course.”

Emily’s next step is to complete an Occupational Therapy Degree, which will enable her to realise her final goal of becoming a Play Therapist.
