Big Wigs from Hairspray at UCB

The 1960's sprang back to life at UCB this week in a mist of hairspray and greasepaint as Specialist Hair and Media Make-Up students showcased their skills to cast members from the hit musical Hairspray, including X-Factor finalist Marcus Collins.
The cast met two Theatrical Special Effects and Make-Up Diploma students who created 1960's looks for a national hairdressing competition where they finished in the Top 10.
Hairspray is a great show with some fabulous hair, make-up and costumes which the students like to see because many will go on to work on theatre show's, musicals of films in the future. It was very exciting to welcome the show's stars to UCB and we thank them for taking time to visit our students.
Hairspray runs at the Birmingham Hippodrome until Saturday June 1st.
