This concern is shared by the leadership of all further education colleges across the West Midlands and we have joined forces in taking an active stance to keep college students across the region safe and well. Our joint college commitment to safeguarding is set out in our Safer Student Charter.
What is Safer Internet Day?
- Safer Internet Day is celebrated around the world in February each year to promote the safe and positive use of digital technology for children and young people, and to inspire a national conversation about using technology responsibly, respectfully, critically, and creatively.
- Safer Internet Day is a global event which celebrates young people’s role in creating a safer internet, whether that is when they are learning online, working online, playing games, creating content, or interacting with their friends and peers.
