Get ready for a career in sport at our easy-to-get-to, Birmingham city centre campus

If you want to work in sport, whether that is as an athlete, in fitness coaching or strength conditioning, as a sports therapist or sports trainer or anything else, we have a college course to kick off your career.

Your tutors - all experts in their field - will introduce you to all the essential skills you need to achieve your goals, with training in our own facilities and at Avery Fields, our partner all-weather ground in Birmingham. There are plenty of sports societies to join too.

Award-winning support for college students

We are committed to giving you all the support you need to achieve your very best. We offer everything from one-to-one academic support, English and maths support, including helping you re-sit your GCSEs, online skills materials, in-class skills and development sessions to help with placements, careers, and more.

We also know how important your health and wellbeing are to successful study and have support in place to help you with this, alongside teams dedicated to everything from financial help to disability and neurodiversity support.

Our facilities

Students on our sports college courses at University College Birmingham have use of Avery Fields, a purpose-built 15-acre site which we share with leading Birmingham rugby club Bournville RFC, while you will also have access to cutting-edge facilities within our campus buildings.
