University College Birmingham excels across multiple areas in National Student Survey 2025

The University’s commitment to continual improvement has been recognised in the latest round of results from the UK’s leading student feedback-led survey.

Encompassing more than 500 universities, colleges and other higher education providers around the country, the Survey is the primary gauge used to measure student satisfaction.

In a response rate of 85% – almost 14 percentage points higher than England’s national average – UCB students answered 28 questions covering all aspects of their higher education experience, and their feedback was overwhelmingly positive.

Across all of the Survey’s seven key themes, the University’s scores were up on 2024 results by an average of almost 2.5 percentage points.

On questions regarding quality of teaching, support, and student development, the University scored more than 90%, with each representing an increase in satisfaction on last year’s results.

In seven of the questions, including those relating to marking, feedback, assessment and student engagement, scores were more than 5% higher than the sector average and an improvement on last year’s results. For a further 20 questions, we placed higher than the average for higher education institutions across the UK.
