Additional changes may be made to the schedules ahead of the welcome week, so please check this page again prior to w/c 22 September for any updates or amendments.

Meet your teaching team and classmates

Join us in a welcome talk with your teaching team. Within this talk you will receive information on your upcoming timetables, course information and the rest of your induction week. This session will provide an overview of your second year of study including key dates and timetables. It will also aim to establish the expectations of you as a Level 5 student. Within this session you will be given information regarding your tutor group and the room you will be in for the following session.

Department Sports Day
Location: Avery Fields, Avery Fields
Time: 12pm-2pm

Department sports day
All students - sport, coaching and fitness, sports therapy, sport management, sports coaching and education, strength conditioning and sports nutrition. You will get to meet students from across the department, the Head of Department and all teaching staff. Enjoy the friendly competition and meet like-minded students in your fields of interest. Please come wearing appropriate kit for physical activity.
Support sessions
Throughout the welcome week, we have arranged our support teams to run different introductory sessions so you can learn about the support they offer and how to access it.
The support services involved include Disability and Neurodiversity Support, Mental Health and Wellbeing, academic support through the Centre for Academic Skills and English (CASE) and the Library. You can meet up with the Guild of Students (the student union at UCB) and learn about their work, and also explore the activities organised by the Student Engagement Team.
