Taster Activities

Cabin Crew and Tourism Taster Day

In year 11 and thinking about a future in cabin crew or tourism? Do you want to explore the industry further and see where a college course in cabin crew or travel and tourism at University College Birmingham could take you? Join us for an exciting day of activities in our Aviation and Tourism Suite, you’ll also have the opportunity to win prizes and meet other people interested in the same career as you.

As part of the day, you will take part in two hands-on sessions:

Cabin Crew
Travel and Tourism

How will the day run?

The day will run from 9:30am–3pm on campus at Summer Row, University College Birmingham, B3 1JB.

When you arrive, you will be met by some of our current students and have the opportunity to meet other attendees over breakfast pastries, you’ll then have a welcome to University College Birmingham before heading off into your first session for the day.

You’ll have the opportunity to attend both sessions so that you can have a taster of two different sides of a career in tourism before going to eat a free lunch. In the afternoon, you’ll hear from our students about their experiences of studying a tourism course and find out all about the courses we offer to kick-start your career, either in the skies as cabin crew or in the many different careers in travel and tourism.

This event is FREE to attend, breakfast and lunch will be provided.
