1. What problem am I trying to solve?

Clarity drives good career decisions. Are you aiming for:

• a career change

• a promotion

• sector-specific knowledge

• stronger leadership skills

• access to the UK job market.

If your reason is vague and your motivation sounds like “I need another degree” or “I am not sure what else to do”, pause.

Try completing the sentence: “I want an MBA so that I can…”.

If you can’t finish it clearly, you’re not ready yet.

2. Will this MBA strengthen my employability?

Look beyond the course title.

A strong MBA should offer practical, career-ready experiences such as:

• industry projects and live consultancy work

• careers coaching and employer engagement

• opportunities to build a professional network

• leadership, digital, sustainability, or entrepreneurship modules

The right MBA helps you translate your existing experience into a story that employers understand and value, not just add another line to your CV.
