Having studied Hair and Beauty Therapy after leaving school, here at University College Birmingham, then (The College of Food Tourism & Creative Studies), I went on to gain experience working within industry for several years.
After studying to gaining my Teaching Qualification, I began full-time employment, lecturing at University College Birmingham in 1998.
Throughout the years, I have taught across many programme areas, including FE Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy L2 & L3, BTEC National Diploma, L3 Specialist Hair & Media Make-up and currently lecture on the HE Aesthetic Practitioner programme.
During my time at UCB, I have held several positions including Programme Manager, Lead IV, Assistant Dean for Creative Services (7Yrs) and have now recently returned to a lecturing role.
As a fully qualified External Verifier, and have also worked for VTCT to support many other institutions and training providers in previous years.
Having 23 years’ teaching experience, I have taught across many programme areas which include:
NVQ/VRQ Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy L 2 & L3
NVQ/VRQ Specialist Hair and Media a Make-up L2 & L3
FdA Aesthetic Practitioner.
