Enrolment information for A-levels at UCB Sixth Form Centre

We are still enrolling for September 2026, with limited places available in our humanities subjects that includes history, politics, English literature, health and social care, sociology and law.

If you are interested in these courses, or want to go on our waiting list for STEM subjects, please email your grades and a list of subjects you would like to rtigue@ucb.ac.uk.

If you already hold an offer with UCB Sixth Form Centre, please complete the relevant enrolment steps below so we can confirm your place.

If you have not previously applied to us and are interested in joining this September, you can still get in touch to discuss the places we have available. Please follow the information shared in the Frequently Asked Questions section below.

I already have an offer – what do I do?

You'll need to complete your enrolment online.

If you have received an offer from UCB Sixth Form Centre, please complete your enrolment online.

You should have received a link to complete your online registration. Please complete this first, then upload your GCSE results and a suitable photo for your student ID card. You can view our video tutorial for guidance on uploading your results.

Once we have received and reviewed your results and photo, we will email you to confirm your place or contact you if we need to discuss your options.

Please note: If you have met the requirements of your offer, you do not need to visit us in person unless we ask you to provide additional information or evidence.

I have an offer but didn’t quite get the grades – what should I do?

Don’t worry. Please come and see us at McIntyre House during our enrolment hours and bring a copy of your GCSE results and a form of ID.

Our team can review your results and discuss the options available to you. We may still be able to offer you a place at UCB Sixth Form Centre or suggest an alternative programme of study.

I have an offer but want to change my subjects – what should I do?

If you would like to change your subjects, please come and see us at McIntyre House during our enrolment hours. Bring a copy of your GCSE results and a form of ID so our team can review your options with you.

Places are now limited, particularly outside our remaining humanities subjects, so any changes will depend on availability.

I’m on the waiting list – what should I do?

If you are on our waiting list and have received your GCSE results, please come and see us at McIntyre House during our enrolment hours. Bring a copy of your results and a form of ID.

Our team will review your results and check whether a suitable place is available. Where we cannot offer your original choice, we may be able to discuss an alternative programme with you.

I don’t already have an offer – can I still apply?

Yes. We are still enrolling for September 2026, although places are now limited and available only in selected humanities subjects.

Please come and see us at McIntyre House during our enrolment hours and bring a copy of your GCSE results and a form of ID. Our team can discuss the subjects still available, check your results and advise you on your options. Where a suitable place is available, we may be able to offer you a place and complete your enrolment.

When can I come in to enrol or discuss my options?

Our remaining enrolment hours at McIntyre House (2 Holland Street, B3 1PW) are:

Friday 28 August: 9.30am-2pm
Thursday 3 September: 2pm-4pm
Friday 4 September: 2pm-4pm

Finalising your enrolment

As an offer holder, you would have been asked to submit your documents online. Once your documents have been reviewed, and we have sent you a confirmation email, your place is confirmed. You do not need to come and see us on campus to enrol, just to collect your student ID on Thursday 3 September.

You may be asked to provide further evidence before your enrolment is considered complete, particularly if you require a Visa check.

Collecting your ID card

You will collect your ID card during Induction Day on Thursday 3 September.

Complete your transition work

To give you an introduction to your course and find out your starting points, we ask all students to complete a short transition project that will be handed in on 8 September. The work should be done to the very best of your ability (no AI).

Induction day

The UCB Sixth Form induction day takes place on Thursday 3 September, from 8.30am to 3pm. Please arrive promptly. Lessons start on Friday 4 September at 8.30am.

What you will need to bring with you on Thursday 3 September and Friday 4 September:

A packed lunch and a water bottle on both days (catering facilities don't fully open until Monday 7 September)
A couple of pens and a notepad/folder

Here is what you can expect on these two days:

Thursday 3 September

Arrive from 8.15am for an 8.30am start – the session will finish at 3pm.

On this day, you will:

Receive your ID card (if you have uploaded your photo and are fully enrolled).
Meet your fellow students.
Find out about student support services and any bursaries or financial support that may be available.
Check that you have all the transition work you need to complete.
Tour the campus.
Complete a questionnaire so we can learn more about you and how we can support you over the next two years.
Activate your student email and Canvas account.

Friday 4 September

Arrive from 8.15am for an 8.30am start – the session will finish at 12.30pm.

On this day, you will:

Start some lessons.
Find out more about the opportunities available at UCB Sixth Form.
Meet your Year 13 mentors.

Full-time study begins. Arrive from 8.15am for an 8.30am start.
