"My professional background is in the food industry as well as in education. I have worked with main brands such as Cadbury, Salisbury and Kraft Foods, and I’m thrilled to be able to pass on this knowledge onto my students here at the College of Food.”

I specialise in nutrition studies, health sciences, and public health. At UCB, I teach both postgraduate and undergraduate courses at Birmingham College of Food, combining academic knowledge with industry experience.

Previously, I worked in quality management, with major food companies such as Cadbury World, Salisbury, Kraft Foods and Blakemore Food Service. My experience as a primary and secondary school teacher, as well as a tertiary level educator, has enhanced my teaching practice and skills. Furthermore, engaging with students from diverse backgrounds has been an ongoing, positive experience for me. I’m passionate about supporting students’ success and I take pride in contributing to their growth.

I believe that integrity is essential to meaningful learning. Lastly, I’m a published author of a children’s book and I enjoy volunteering with charities, because I believe that giving back to the community is always important.
