"I am particularly inspired by students' ambition to develop themselves and build meaningful careers. Supporting them in this journey - whether through teaching, mentoring, or academic guidance - is highly rewarding."

I teach on a number of courses across our HE business and enterprise provision, and my specific areas of research expertise and include strategic management, strategic corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainability, leadership, and strategic marketing.

My professional background combines academic research, teaching, and practical business experience, which strongly informs my teaching approach.

Alongside my academic career, I have been a business partner in a medium-sized enterprise for over five years, gaining hands-on experience in strategic decision-making, operations, and business development. This experience allows me to bring real-world relevance directly into the classroom, ensuring that students not only understand theoretical concepts but also how they are applied in practice. I integrate case-based discussions, practical examples, and applied learning activities, helping students develop skills that are directly transferable to the workplace.

I am actively engaged in ongoing research and academic collaborations with international scholars, focusing on business strategy, strategic CSR, sustainability, and leadership, and regularly present at conferences across the UK, Europe, Asia, and the United States. Further, I contribute to the academic community through peer reviewing for leading journals.

I am particularly passionate about helping students understand how business strategy and sustainability intersect in real-world contexts, and I aim to inspire them to become future leaders in responsible and sustainable business.

The growing role of business in addressing complex global challenges fascinates me, especially in areas such as business strategy, strategic corporate social responsibility, responsible leadership, and ethical decision-making, and the opportunity to translate these ideas into teaching, helping students understand that business is not only about profitability, but also about responsibility, innovation, and long-term impact. Supporting students in developing this mindset, and preparing them to become future leaders in sustainable and responsible business, is one of the most rewarding aspects of my role.

I am most proud of building a career that successfully integrates research, teaching, and real-world impact, and I take pride in publishing my work in internationally recognised journals, including top-tier outlets, at an early stage in my academic career.

In teaching, I am particularly proud of the positive feedback I have received from students and the impact I have had on their academic development. Supporting students through their studies, supervising dissertations, and helping them progress to further education or career opportunities has been extremely rewarding. I enjoy diversity of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives students bring to the classroom. This creates a dynamic learning environment where ideas are actively exchanged, and students can learn not only from the lecturer but from each other.

I am particularly inspired by students’ ambition to develop themselves and build meaningful careers. Supporting them in this journey – whether through teaching, mentoring, or academic guidance – is highly rewarding.

A piece of advice I would give to students would be to take ownership of your learning from the very beginning. University is not just about attending lectures, but actively engaging with your studies, asking questions, seeking feedback, and making the most of the opportunities available to you. Don’t be afraid to step outside your comfort zone, whether that’s participating in class discussions, working on group projects, or exploring new ideas.

Outside of work, I enjoy activities that help me stay balanced and continuously develop both personally and professionally. I particularly enjoy reading, especially in areas related to personal development, and leadership. More broadly, I value lifelong learning and self-development, and I enjoy setting new goals that challenge me to grow both as an academic and as an individual.
