University College Birmingham has been shortlisted for an award recognising outstanding training and education provision within the Greater Birmingham region, which brings to a close a fantastic year of awards for the institution.
Held by the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce (GBCC), the Excellence in Training and Education category is one of 11 awards that will be presented on 15 February.
The ceremony will highlight the local businesses and organisations that have had significant growth and shown commitment to the region in the last year.
The shortlisted application showcased the excellent, career-focused training for Health qualifications and is a testament to University College Birmingham’s continuous dedication to delivering exceptional training for all of its students.
It comes after a year in which the University has succeeded with a string of award wins including wins at the WhatUni Student Choice Awards, and a ranking of first out of 101 higher education institutions in postgraduate student satisfaction as highlighted in the Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey. The University was also awarded Silver by the Office for Students’ Teaching Excellence Framework.
"The judging panel was impressed by the high calibre of all entries received and selected finalists who embody the vibrant entrepreneurial and innovative spirit that makes Greater Birmingham so special."
