Rosie Ginday MBE, founder of Birmingham-based social enterprise Miss Macaroon and former student at University College Birmingham, will be part of a panel of leading businesswomen speaking at an event being hosted by the British American Business Council.
Rosie studied Level 2 and Level 3 Professional Cookery at the University and worked at Michelin-starred Purnell’s and the Hyatt Regency before setting up her patisserie, which colour matches macaroons.

The business invests its profits into helping unemployed and disadvantaged young people gain skills and further employment, and Rosie also sits on the West Midlands Combined Authority’s leadership commission.
Recognised for services to the community in the New Year's Honours in 2019, Rosie was also listed in the 2018 WISE100 (Women in Social Enterprise 100), the first ever index to recognise and celebrate inspiring and influential women in social enterprise, impact investment and mission-driven business.
Her other claims to fame include attending Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding in 2018 after making sweet treats for the Royal couple at an event for International Women’s Day.
Rosie will join other leading international business leaders on the panel, including Benedicte Raae, founder of POW!, a menstrual cycle tracker app, and Sally Webb Berry, founder of The Special Event Company, discussing how women have started successful businesses in the US and Europe.
The free virtual event will take place on 27 October.
