Biology A-level
From the intricate molecular world inside cells to how our body systems work, A-level Biology is the study of life in all its rich complexity. Intellectually stimulating, this course will encourage your curiosity and develop your scientific understanding, practical dexterity and mathematical problem-solving.
Business A-level
An understanding of business is beneficial in a wide range of careers, from accountancy to financial advice through to sales management and consultancy, while it is also invaluable in setting up your own business and working in senior management and strategic roles across the sectors.
Chemistry A-level
Chemistry is in everything you taste, smell, touch and see and we need chemists more than ever. This A-level will set you on your way to making your mark in everything from finding new antibiotics and ways to conserve coral reefs to making environmentally-friendly alternatives to current plastics.
Computer Science A-level
Advances in computing are transforming the way we work and with its emphasis on abstract thinking, general problem-solving, algorithmic and mathematical reasoning, A-level Computer Science is an excellent foundation for understanding and applying solutions to these future challenges.
Criminology Level 3
The reduction of crime is a key focus of any government as the achievement of this key goal is fundamental to the health, happiness and success of our citizens. On this course, you will explore how our awareness of crime changes over time, investigating the methods used to reduce crime.
Economics A-level
The fascinating study of economics provides a strong foundation for understanding how economic systems operate and the factors influencing decision-making by individuals, businesses and governments. An understanding of economics is beneficial for a wide range of careers, including within business, finance, the government, academia and non-profit organsations.
English Literature A-level
The study of English Literature will enable you to explore the world in different time periods and in different social and cultural contexts. You will need to have a passion for reading, as you will cover a minimum of eight texts, including poetry, prose and drama.
Further Maths A-level
If you're driven by intellectual curiosity and wish to enhance your understanding of A-level Maths by studying this beautiful and creative subject at an even higher level, this is the further education course for you.
Health and Social Care Extended Certificate
The World Health Organisation estimates a projected shortfall of 10 million health workers by 2030. This one A-level equivalent course provides an excellent introduction to the sector and can be combined with two other A-levels to support you in progressing to a range of careers.
History A-level
History is a vibrant subject that can teach us much about human social, political and technological development and can help us make change for the better. Through the study of A-level History at our sixth form centre, you will explore the achievements and struggles that have led us to the societies in which we now live.
Law A-level
Get yourself ready for working in the legal system with our Law A-level college course. Learn about the nature of law, criminal law, tort and the English legal system, as well as boosting your real-world experience through work placements.
Maths A-level
Maths makes you better at solving problems and is intensely satisfying for those who study it, enabling you to develop further skills in algebra and numbers, then calculus, following your GCSEs.
Physics A-level
How did the universe begin? How will it end? Are we alone? A-level Physics is about analysing the world around us by asking fundamental questions and using experiments and mathematics to try to answer them.
