Additional changes may be made to the schedules before welcome week. You are required to attend your course induction session and other activities unless you have enrolled after these have passed.

Welcome week activities and support sessions
Throughout welcome week, we've arranged a programme of support sessions and activities to help you settle into university life, meet other students and discover the services available to you.
You'll have the opportunity to meet teams including Disability and Neurodiversity Support, Mental Health and Wellbeing, the Centre for Academic Skills and English (CASE), and the Library. You'll also have opportunities to connect with the Guild of Students (the student union at UCB), find out more about student life, and take part in activities organised by the Student Engagement and Success Team.

| Bakery and Patisserie Technology level 5 induction. This session will introduce students to the Level 5 Bakery & Patisserie Technology programme and provide an overview of the academic year ahead. Students can expect information on health and safety, safeguarding, course expectations, bakery hygiene standards, assessment and referencing requirements, extenuating circumstances, and the new Level 5 grading criteria. The session will also cover future progression opportunities, work placements, employability support, student representation, extracurricular activities such as ABST competitions and Guild sports and societies, as well as practical information on timetables, tutorials, apps, lockers, and module content.
