Placements to get you hired

Real work experience, real pay packets

Going on work placement while studying for a degree is proven to boost an undergraduate's employability and we work with over 1,000 employers to help you make it happen.

Placements are at the heart of our hands-on, work-based approach to higher education. But why are they so vital?

They not only provide an exciting opportunity to experience what work is really like in your field, but help you build your professional network, meet new people and develop your skills and confidence. They are also the chance to travel and we have secured placements everywhere from the US to the South Pole!

Most of our degrees feature a compulsory or optional placement and what makes them really enticing is that most are paid, so you have an extra income while you are studying.

Students out in industry

Most of our students go on placement, either adding in a placement year or completing a few shorter placements to get a really-rounded experience in a range of settings. Discover some of their stories.

It was great to get involved and work with the players, to test my knowledge. I’ve developed my communication, leadership, adaptability and listening skills, as well as my confidence – plus I’ve made friends for life at the club.
