Top-class kitchens for top chefs of the future
University College Birmingham has built an outstanding industry reputation for culinary training, backed up by our state-of-the-art kitchen facilities on campus.
We have a total of nine industry-standard kitchens at our Summer Row site, providing a real working environment for you to master your practical food skills throughout your studies.
Our kitchens are also regularly used for an array of prestigious chef competitions and culinary contests, including Michel Roux Jr's annual scholarship contest, the British Culinary Federation's Chef of the Year finals and Team England's training for the Bocuse d'Or.
The kitchens were very well designed and would give students a first-hand experience of industry standards. In fact, some kitchens were better than 5-star hotel kitchens that I have worked in around the world.
