Steve Fletcher

Joint Head of Corporate, UK Retail, Birmingham Office, Gallagher Insurance Brokers

Steve has over 30 years of experience working for some of the largest risk and insurance brokers and currently leads the Corporate Risks division of Gallagher Insurance Brokers based in Birmingham.

Born in the Midlands, Steve became a first gen graduate in Business whilst studying at the University of Brighton and his early career was in London and South-East insurance markets before relocating back to the Midlands in 2006.  Steve continued his academic studies whilst gaining valuable career experience and became professionally qualified as an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute.  Steve has spent a large part of his career in business development roles, securing new business opportunities and expanding the service proposition of the companies he has worked for.  Steve constantly champions progress, loves nothing more than developing new ideas and innovating fresh ways of thinking in what is generally considered a very established industry sector. 

In his current role for Gallagher, Steve leads a team of insurance professionals managing the risk programmes for corporate clients operating across a broad range of industry sectors both here in the Midlands and internationally.  Steve is a client man and takes an active interest in ensuring clients benefit from valued insurance protection and risk advice to ensure that their businesses can continue to prosper in what are increasingly turbulent times.  Steve is responsible for the financial performance of the Gallagher team and under his stewardship the corporate business in Birmingham has doubled in size over the last five years.
