I’m dedicated to helping people of all backgrounds develop a strong foundation for movement, performance, and wellbeing. I teach on our BSc (Hons) Strength, Conditioning & Sports Nutrition and FdSc Strength, Conditioning & Sports Nutrition courses.
My early career at a prominent Strength and Conditioning facility in Birmingham exposed me to a broad spectrum of approaches in physical development. This environment deepened my appreciation for the diversity of training philosophies and the importance of context - there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to coaching and physical development. I firmly believe that good coaching is rooted in adaptability and continuous evaluation. These concepts and experiences now feed directly into my teaching, where I regularly use real examples to bridge theory and practice for my students.

I really enjoy the variety of experiences and perspectives that UCB students bring to our discussions. Their backgrounds, ideas, and questions make every session unique and engaging. My own journey began as a student in the very same course; and the impact it had on my own understanding motivated me to return as a lecturer. Today, I bring an energetic, thoughtful approach to teaching, always aiming to help each student find their own path in the broad and ever-evolving field of strength and conditioning.
My advice to all students is “Don’t aim for the minimum requirement” - strive to achieve your absolute best in every area of your studies.
Outside of the classroom, I’m an enthusiastic practitioner of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, having recently earned my blue belt. During lockdown, I challenged myself to run a marathon in my back garden, in order to raise money for charity.
