Meet new friends and future classmates

We know that it can be a little daunting starting a new place of education, and we want you to feel as comfortable as possible. Applicant days are the best way to meet future classmates and make new friends before you even start.

Accommodation The Maltings Outside The Cube

Accommodation tour

As well as the campus tour, you will also have the chance to join our Student Ambassadors to look around our halls of residence, The Maltings, which is only a short walk from our campus. Our accommodation is easy to get to on foot, but there will be free coaches available to take you there on the day.

Campus Moss House Ground Floor

Campus tour

Although you have applied to study here with us, you may have missed the opportunity to see all of the facilities that we have to offer. If so, no need to worry, as you will have the option to join a campus tour after your second activity session, run by our Student Ambassadors.

Support services

We know that you may still have questions about studying here at University College Birmingham and our support services will be here to help with any concerns. You will be able to speak with Student Finance, Disability and Neurodiversity Support, HIRED and more.

Meet the Guild

If you are thinking about joining a society or sports club or even starting up your own campaign, make sure to stop by and meet your Guild of Students. You will be able to find out about our clubs, ranging from cheerleading, rugby, netball and football to our bakery, drama and Queer societies.

What to Expect on the Day

Take part in taster lectures and interactive sessions in a relaxed environment, giving you a real feel for your course. Meet future classmates, chat with current students, and explore our campus, accommodation, clubs and societies.

Discover the support available at our close-knit university, including guidance from our finance team on budgeting and student incentives for 2026, including our £5,000 Cost of Living Allowance and Kick-Start support.
