The prestigious Vice-Chancellor’s Award scholarships aim to recognise and support outstanding international students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership qualities and a commitment to the betterment of society.

Value: Cost of full tuition fee is covered for the first year of your study

Eligibility criteria

To apply for this scholarship, you must fulfil the following criteria:

You must have received and accepted an offer to study on a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate programme at University College Birmingham. Part-time courses, distance learning courses or other levels of study are not eligible.
You must have overseas fee status and be paying overseas tuition fees. Home fee payers are not eligible.
The minimum requirements are 144 UCAS tariff points (or international equivalents) for undergraduate programmes and 1st class honours (or international equivalents) for postgraduate programmes.
This scholarship is available to students’ first year of study only.
You must have paid at least £1,000 towards your deposit within 14 days of receiving your scholarship offer. Otherwise, the scholarship offer will be withdrawn.
You agree to provide testimonials, feature in case studies and/or participate in marketing activities upon request.

Submit your application via the correct link: February 2027, September 2027, February 2028
Include a personal statement and in 500 words, demonstrate your achievements in your field of study, your career aspirations, and your contribution to the betterment of society.
You will be notified of the outcome via email.
