Rising Talent Scholarship
The Rising Talent Scholarship recognises high-potential international students who show the ambition, academic promise and commitment to succeed in their studies and beyond.
At University College Birmingham, we welcome students from around the world who are ready to develop their skills, contribute to our diverse university community and become future leaders in their chosen industries. This scholarship is designed to support talented students who have the potential to thrive at UCB and make a positive impact in their future careers.
The scholarship is open to new international students starting a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate programme at University College Birmingham.
Value: 25% of first year tuition fee
Eligibility criteria
To be considered for this scholarship, you must fulfil the following criteria:
- You must have received and accepted an offer to study on a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate programme at University College Birmingham. Part-time courses, distance learning courses or other levels of study are not eligible.
- You must have overseas fee status and be paying overseas tuition fees. Home fee payers are not eligible.
- You must demonstrate strong potential to succeed in your studies and contribute positively to the University College Birmingham community.
- This scholarship is available for students’ first year of study only.
- You must have paid at least £1,000 towards your deposit within 14 days of receiving your scholarship offer. Otherwise, the scholarship offer will be withdrawn.
- You agree to provide testimonials, feature in case studies and/or participate in marketing activities upon request.
How to apply
- Obtain an offer for a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate programme at University College Birmingham.
- Submit your scholarship application via the relevant application link for your intake. September 2026 – February 2027
- Include a personal statement of no more than 500 words outlining your achievements to date, your innovative or enterprising ideas, your career aspirations, and how studying at University College Birmingham will support your future goals.
- You will be notified of the outcome via email.
The deadline to apply for this scholarship is 31 August 2026.
