Rinki Sandhu
Growing a business with confidence
High-flying Rinki has established her own brand of healthy meals for children aged 4-12, but it was her experience at UCB that gave her the confidence to drive for meaningful change in youth nutrition.
“I started my business during my third year of study at UCB, and it was the strong emphasis on entrepreneurship and practical, hands-on experience that helped me move from idea generation to business launch so quickly,” she said.
“It was a truly transformative experience for me.”
Rinki felt the variety of learning opportunities available to her allowed her to develop skills in communication, teamwork and adaptability, but the support also made a huge difference to her experience.
“Lecturers were approachable and genuinely invested in helping students succeed, while the Enterprise Hub provided invaluable guidance and mentorship,” she said.
“When in my final year when I launched my own brand, The NutriKid, as part of Venture 3 and pitched it live to an audience, it really was my proudest moment and the product of everything I’d learned and experienced.”
“Over my time studying, UCB became more than just a university for me. I now think of it as a place where I grew into myself and felt truly supported every step of the way.”
