A dream experience
A university enrichment opportunity gave Francesco the chance to gain hands-on experience at DreamHack 2026, one of the world's largest gaming and digital entertainment festivals.
Working as part of the event operations team, Francesco supported independent game developers in the Indie Playground, developing skills in stakeholder management, live event operations, visitor experience and teamwork, while helping deliver a major international event.
"Working at DreamHack was more than just an experience - it was a defining moment in my professional journey," said Francesco.
"It gave me the chance to put everything I'd learned at university into practice and confirmed this is the industry I want to work in. It challenged me, helped me grow professionally and showed me the standards needed to succeed in live events."
Francesco says UCB supported him with the experience.
"Our lecturers are always creating opportunities for us to work with industry and DreamHack allowed me to apply what I'd learned in a real-world environment while building my confidence and expanding my professional network."
