Students on our sports degree courses have use of a cutting-edge gym and the Human Performance Centre and Laboratory at our new £44m Moss House campus, as well as our purpose-built sports injury and massage clinics offering a variety of services to professional athletes, students and members of the public.
You will also have use of a state-of-the-art all-weather pitch and facilities at Avery Fields, which we share with leading Birmingham rugby club Bournville RFC.
In addition, we have a range of gym facilities available across our campuses and halls of accommodation. More information is available here.
Our new sports facilities at Moss House include:
- 35m indoor running track (with force plate)
- Anti-gravity treadmill
- Eight lifting platforms
- Integrated bilateral force plates
- Isokinetic dynamometer
- Monark LC7 cycle ergometer
- SECA body composition analyser
Thanks to our partnership with the Avery Fields Trust and Bournville RFC, our sports students have use of the impressive £3m Avery Fields development in Edgbaston. The 15-acre site features an all-weather pitch, two grass pitches and an impressive clubhouse with a function room, modern changing facilities and a physio suite.
I chose University College Birmingham because it offered the perfect course option for me, and also because it felt like the right kind of atmosphere for me to be able to work and succeed in. The facilities are great and help is always on offer. The opportunities to gain other qualifications alongside my course are also beneficial.
