The prestigious Vice Chancellor’s Award scholarships aim to recognise and support outstanding international students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership qualities, and a commitment to the betterment of society.

Value: Cost of full tuition fee covered for the first year of your study

Eligibility criteria

To apply for this scholarship, you must fulfil the following criteria:

  • You must have received and accepted an offer to study on a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate  programme University College Birmingham starting in September 2025. Part-time courses, distance learning courses or other levels of study are not eligible.
  • You must have overseas fee status and be paying overseas tuition fees. Home fee payers are not eligible.
  • The minimum requirements are 144 UCAS tariff points (or international equivalents) for undergraduate programmes and 1st class honours (or international equivalents) for postgraduate programmes.
  • This scholarship is available to students’ first year of study only.
  • You agree to provide testimonials, feature in case studies and/or participate in marketing activities upon request.

How to apply

Applications for September 2025 programmes closed on 31 May 2025. Outcomes will be communicated to applicants via email by 31 July 2025. Deadlines and application links for programmes starting in February 2026 will be released in due course. 

 

  • Obtain an offer.
  • Submit your application via this link (now closed) for the Vice Chancellor’s Award by 31 May 2025.
  • Include a personal statement and in 500 words, demonstrate your achievements in your field of study, your career aspirations, and your contribution to the betterment of society.
  • You will be notified of the outcome via email.
