Season Greetings from UCB
Since University College Birmingham Alumni Society was relaunched, our aim has been to keep in touch with alumni and use their skills and experience to enrich the learning journey of current students.
It was great to see the September newsletter was well received. A warm welcome to the second edition of our alumni e-newsletter. We are excited to let you know about various activities, projects, talks and events that you can get involved with as a University College Birmingham alumni. We will be sending quarterly updates, information about school specific employment events and looking to introduce new alumni benefits over the coming months.
Our autumn recruitment fair was a great success, with up to 35 exhibitors and 350 students in attendance, with alumni given the opportunity to attend.
We are developing opportunities to hold alumni talks for current students and look forward to your involvement.

For some students, this is the annual “hello” from UCB and the Culinary Arts Management team. For others, it may be the first year you qualify as an alumni – but to all of you, Lewis Walker would like to extend his invitation to attend the Culinary Arts Management Networking Event for 2017.
Each year, the Culinary Arts Management (CAM) team gather together alumni, current students, staff and friends to share experiences, network and catch up.
The evening is planned for Monday, 30 January 2017, from 5pm. Guests will gather in the Brasserie, Summer Row campus, run through talks and presentations from willing alumni for an hour or so, and then be treated to food and refreshments from the current first-year group.
If you would like to attend, please email firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible to confirm attendance. If you are willing to do a short 10-minute talk on your CAM experience, explain what you are currently doing and offer tips for students then please indicate this in the email to Lewis.
Please pass on the invite to any fellow CAM alumni …..and why not arrange a reunion get together on the night?
More information will follow and we look forward to welcoming you back to UCB in January.
