2026 Summer Schools for international students
UCB will be hosting 4 Summer Schools in 2026 for international students, one from our School of Health, Life Sciences and Education, one from our School of Engineering, Digital and Sustainable Construction, one from our Department of Business and Enterprise and one delivered collaboratively by our Department of College of Food and Department of Hospitality and Tourism. - Next Gen AI (Computing and Engineering)
- Healthy Minds, Healthy Bodies (‘lab-based’ with a mix of Nursing, Psychology and Sport Science)

- Airport coach transfers* and other transport as part of the programme
- Breakfast and lunch meal vouchers
What's Inculuded
UCB will offer an airport transfer service from Birmingham Airport to UCB on Saturday, 13th June and Sunday, 14th June at pre-specified times. There will not be any transport service to UCB outside of these times, dates or from other airports.
Students will need to cover expenses that include, but are not limited to, any food purchased outside of the 3 meals a day, spending money for items such as gifts, and airfare/costs associated with travelling to Birmingham.
Course requirements
Applicants for our summer schools must be:
- International students
- 18 years of age or older on 15th June 2026
- Have a valid passport for travel to United Kingdom, where University College Birmingham is located.
Academic Entry Requirements
We welcome applications from students with an interest in the summer school course they are applying for. While no formal background is required, we do expect students to have a curiosity and enthusiasm for the programme subject. Showcasing this curiosity and enthusiasm should be demonstrated in the application form.
English Language Requirements
For students to benefit from the course, we recommend that students have at least an intermediate level of English (equivalent to B1 or IELTS 4.0). You may be required to meet a member of our team to determine whether your English level is suitable for our programmes
