Where can I go
Students can discover exciting destinations through our trusted partner network.
Our partners span a variety of regions, offering rich academic opportunities and meaningful cultural experiences.
Exchange options may vary from term to term, depending on course compatibility and placement availability.

How do I apply?
Step 1: Research – Exchange opportunities are made available to students through their academic departments. Check out information and explore which of our partners fit into your personal, academic and career goals. You should consider the factors such as available modules, location, accommodation and funding.
Step 2: Prepare and Consult – Draft your Student Exchange Plan with your reason for exchange and module choices for your preferred host universities. Then consult your academic department and obtain approval from the Head of Department for your Plan.
Step 3: Application – You will need to complete an online application and submit your approved Student Exchange Plan.

What happens next?
The selection and allocation decision is based on academic merit and the strength of your exchange application. As exchange places at our partner universities are limited, we cannot guarantee that all eligible applicants will receive an offer.
Successful applicants will be notified via email. Once you accept your offer, we will nominate you to your host university and guide you through the host university’s application process. You will also be invited to pre-departure meetings to help you prepare for your study exchange.

Fees and finance
Tuition Fees
Outgoing exchange students will continue paying tuition fees to UCB when studying abroad, but do not need to pay tuition fees to your host university.
Turing Schemes
The Turing Scheme provides funding to support students to study or work abroad. Please check the Turing Scheme webpage for more information.
Please note that the Turing Scheme funding can contribute to your costs while abroad, but it may not cover everything. When planning your budget, we encourage you to explore additional sources of support if necessary.
