Health support for College and Sixth Form students

Our Student Health Practitioner provides confidential, practical health and wellbeing support to help College and Sixth Form students stay well and feel supported throughout their time at UCB. Whether you need advice about an existing health condition, sexual or menstrual health, a minor injury or help accessing local healthcare services, support is available on campus.

Student Health Practitioner

Aimie is UCB's Student Health Practitioner and brings more than 10 years of experience in pre-hospital care. She is passionate about supporting the health and wellbeing of our College and Sixth Form students, helping them to feel informed, supported and able to engage positively with their studies and wider student experience.

Aimie provides a confidential, student-centred service, offering support in a wide range of areas, including:

  • Management and support of existing medical conditions

  • General health and wellbeing advice, including blood pressure monitoring and weight management

  • Sexual health information, free contraception and STI testing

  • Menstrual health support, including access to free period products

  • Signposting to UCB's mental health and wellbeing support services

  • First aid and treatment for minor injuries and wounds

  • Support with registering with local GP surgeries, dental practices and other healthcare services

  • Signposting and support for a range of additional health and wellbeing needs

  • First aid training

  • Health education events across campus throughout the year

Aimie's aim is to ensure that College and Sixth Form students have access to the support they need to stay healthy, informed and able to make the most of their time at UCB.
