A numbers game
Wherever Mercedes’ future career takes her, she knows for certain that maths will play a huge role.
“It really is my passion – everything else I do revolves around it,” she said.
“Even though I’m still not entirely sure what I want to do in future, I know maths will be involved.”
Despite living a considerable distance away, Mercedes knew from her open day visit that UCB Sixth Form Centre would be the perfect place to study.
“I always wanted to study in a big city, and once I arrived here I knew straight away it was the right place for me,” she said.
“Everyone is just so friendly. It’s such a high standard of teaching, but they also really show they care and give you the best support they can.”
